ISRO’s Aditya-L1 Triumphs in Sun Mission Enters Halo Orbit :-In a groundbreaking achievement, ISRO’s Aditya–L1 has successfully entered the Halo orbit around the Sun after a 126-day journey. ISRO Chief S Somanath celebrated the “end of a long journey” and highlighted the complexity of the mission, emphasizing the precise execution.
Aditya-L1, India’s first space-based solar observatory, is positioned at Lagrange Point L1, equipped to study the Sun’s outer layer. Somanath acknowledged the complexity of the mission, noting that challenges were overcome with precision.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised ISRO for its second successful mission in nine months. Somanath shared Modi’s appreciation via social media and anticipates a potential interaction in the future.
Looking ahead, the focus shifts to ensuring the reliability of data collected by Aditya-L-1′s payloads. This success positions India as a key player in space research, contributing to global understanding of the Sun’s behavior and solar system dynamics.
