Material of construction for Stirrer
Material of construction for stirrer play a significant role in selection of required stirring system. You have to check compatibility of stirrer MOC with your material . This compatibility also help you in selection reactor or vessel MOC too . You van check acidity or alkality of material for selection of suitable stirrer MOC. You have to check compatibly of material with agitator MOC at required temperature , concentration.
Application of types of agitator for reactor
This is also one of the main point while selecting agitator. There are two main applications of agitator , one is homogenous mixing and second is heat transferring. Example when you have to do crystallization mostly anchor type agitator used in chemical industry .

Paddle type agitator

Used for mixing of Solid and mixing of slurry .The main advantage of paddle type of agitator for reactor is it can use for heavy duty and we can use 2 to 5 blades. Main disadvantage of is its high power consumption ability and its mixing quality.
Anchor types of stirrer
This type stirrer mostly used in crystallization process .This type of stirrer bladed are very close to wall of reactor , so we can get good heat transfer . but this is suitable for low RPM application. The main advantage of anchor type of stirrer is it gives good heat transfer rate. It also required more power for agitation. Main disadvantage of anchor type of agitator is it gives more stirrer touchable volume.
Propeller type
Propeller type agitator can use in GLR , it can use for corrosive material.
Which type of agitator used in glass lined reactor ?
You can use anchor type of agitator for reactor (Glass lined ) , also you can use paddle type of stirrer for reactor (Glass lined reactor ).
